Designed for high production capacity on industrial scale, these production lines for pies and quiches are the result of the experience gained by GEA COMAS on hundreds of lines successfully installed worldwide. Production is possible on baking trays for tunnel ovens (LTT) or directly on platens with foils (LTF), for special applications like delivery to freezing spirals. The LTT and LTF lines are customisable based on the type of product desired to be produced at the required capacity. The LTT line working with indented trays consists of an indexing conveyor with an electronic gearbox for correct tray positioning underneath the working units, on which the billeting extruder and the blocking press are fitted. The volumetric extruder is used to portion the dough billets and target deposit them inside the indent of the tray, whereas the blocker carries out the more delicate job of blocking the pie or quiche with a pneumatic compensation system that ensures perfect shape. It is possible to have the line equipped with an automatic foil loader, filling depositor and moulding system for lids or lattice tops.
The LTF line is made up of a conveyor with interchangeable perforated platens which are designed according to the product dimensions. The standard line foresees a foil loader, a volumetric extruder and a blocking system and can have integrated a depositor for creams or jams, also dosable under controlled temperature, and a moulding system for lattice tops or lids.
